Cold Laser

There are two types of medical lasers: high power and low power. High power lasers are used to cut through tissue. Low-level lasers (Cold Lasers), are used to stimulate tissue repair. The word "laser" is actually an acronym for Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation. The theory was first described by Albert Einstein (1879-1955) who paved the way for the development of the therapeutic laser.

Cold Laser therapy is the application of red and near infrared light over injuries or wounds to improve soft tissue healing and relieve both acute and chronic pain. Low level therapy uses cold (sub-thermal) laser light energy to direct bio-stimulation light energy to the body's cells without injuring or damaging them in any way. The therapy is precise and accurate, offering safe and effective treatment for a wide variety of conditions.

Laser therapy offers natural, effective, non-invasive, drug-free phototherapy solutions to trigger normal cellular functions that lead to faster wound healing, pain relief and accelerated functional recovery.  It successfully used to treat athletic injuries, acute & chronic conditions, repetitive strain disorders, tissue healing and much more, by providing the extra energy required for healing, the tissue is able to heal itself naturally. This innovative therapeutic alternative may also eliminate the need for painful, debilitating surgeries and drug therapies so often accompanied by harmful side effects.

Some of the unique healing effects of Cold Laser Therapy include:

  • Increased cell metabolism

  • Improved localized blood circulation

  • Development of collagen and muscle tissue

  • Relief from acute and chronic pain

  • Reduced localized inflammation and edema

  • Stimulation for wound healing and tissue repair

  • Stimulation of the immune system

  • Stimulation of nerve function

Research demonstrates that Laser Therapy can be used to effectively treat many conditions. Simulating the body's natural repair processes using the healing nature of light has been proven particularly effective for certain conditions including:

  • Chronic Pain and Acute Pain reduction

  • Soft Tissue Injuries

  • Arthritis - Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis and Bursitis

  • Swelling

  • Inflammation conditions

  • Post-surgical healing of scars, incision site and pain, swelling, bruising

  • Strains of muscle, muscle and tendon tears, Ligaments

  • Sprains of ankle and other places

  • Sports medicine for injury of athletes

  • Foot Pain, foot swelling, foot bone fractures - Podiatry

  • Plantar Fasciitis - foot, heel Spurs, Achilles tendonitis

  • Spinal Disc Herniation

  • Ankle Sprains

  • Fibromyalgia and Neuralgia

  • Orthopedic Implants

  • Decreased circulation of lower limbs

  • Facial Pain

  • Lower Back Pain

  • Carpel Tunnel Syndrome - Hand

  • Whiplash Neck Injuries

  • Migraine Headaches

  • Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction

  • Rotator Cuff Syndrome

  • Diabetic Foot Ulcer healing

  • Muscle Spasms or tension
